Summary:

The product under development is an autonomous polycopter that patrols a predetermined area and frequently blasts a variety
of menancing sounds to chase birds away or deter them from approaching farm lands (eg rice farms). This unmanned areal
vehicle (UAV) will use GPS to follow a predetermined flight path and it will be capable of launching and landing on its own.
This product combines concepts and techniques from flight control technology, remote sensing, and software engineering.

Market Opportunity and Competitive Advantage:

Existing problem to be solved: Helping farmers (especially rice farmers) in Nigeria protect their crops from birds. Currently, most
farmers use gun shots and other crude techniques to scare away birds. These methods are not effective and usually lead to
serious loss in farm produce.

Likely Competitors: None in Nigeria for now. But there are a number of agric drone companies abroad

Product compared to competitors': It will be far less expensive than those of foreign competitors and will provide the same service
with better effectiveness than competitors'.

Farmers will prefer my product because it will be far cheaper than imported ones while providing the same if not superior service.
