Encouraging Scriptures to Meditate on during

Pregnancy
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not
to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and
come and pray to me and I will listen to you.” Jer. 29:11-12

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain… sons are a heritage
from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are
sons born in ones youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” Psalm
127:1, 3-5

“He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a
refuge.” Prov. 14:26

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take
my yolk upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heard, and you
will find rest for your souls.”

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the

her work vigorously… she is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of
idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed, her husband also, he praises her.
Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be
praised.” Proverbs 31
“But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in
weakness… That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in
hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Cor. 12:9-10

“As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb
leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her
will be accomplished! My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my
Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.” Luke

God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you
may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father,
who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of
light.” Col. 1:10-12

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair;
persecuted but not abandoned; struck down but not destroyed…Therefore we do
not loose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being
renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an
eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but
on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is un seen is eternal.”
