Nowadays presentation is not only a common feature of working life in many
companies but also an effective method of teaching. Most of people are already acquainted with this method they are still embarrassed when giving a presentation because they do not know exactly how to make a good presentation. During presentation, the audience is not only paying attention on the topic but they paying attention to the presenter on how the presenter deliver the message to the audience. First of all, the audience is forming the impressions. The audience is looking to the nonverbal behaviour whether the presenter is confident or not during the presentation. The nonverbal behaviour is taken generally to include facial and eye expressions, hand and arm gestures, postures, positions, use of space between individuals and objects, and various movements of the body, legs and feet. Next, the key to a good presentation is confidence. The nervous presenter make themselves small and retreated. To present properly, stand in balanced way and head straight. Besides that, eye contact is important in presentation. Focusing your eyes helps you concentrate. When your eyes wander, they take in random, extraneous images that are sent to your brain. When you don’t look people in the eye, they are less likely to look at you. And when they stop looking at you, they start thinking about something other than what you are saying, and when that happens, they stop listening. From the above discussion, we can conclude that we need to seek for audience’s attention in order to make them understand well. Delivering with good tone, best body movement, facial expression, eye contact and creativity is the best way to make the audience give us their attention.
