Activities
Pre-Lesson 1) In this lesson, pupils do an open book and displayed their work on the
wall.
2) Choose some flashcards of from the previous lessons. (textbook
characters, favourite activities and body parts)
3) Display the flashcards by placing them facing back on the whiteboard.
4) Individual pupils are called out to reveal 2 cards at a time and they are
to find the matching cards.
5) Each time they guess correctly, place the flashcard on the side of the
board.
6) Continue until the pupils have guessed all pairs.
Lesson Development 1) Worksheet distributed.
2) In pair pupils are to ask questions about their friends based on the
worksheet. Monitor as pupils write and support them as necessary.
Encourage pupils to support each other in their groups.
3) Pupils are to draw a picture of their friend.
4) Ask each group to check each other’s sentences and to discuss any
changes that are needed before writing a final version.
5) For a wall display:
a) Each pupil receives a card that they can use to write the information
they have about their friend.
b) Pupils are to decorate the card.
c) The cards will then be displays around the class.
Post Lesson 1) Pupils are given stickers.
2) As they look at their friends display the can stick the sticker on the ones
that they like.
3) Encourage pupils to look at the display/book by asking questions. You
could, for example, ask pupils to tell you what they like about each
group’s work,
4) Play the Find someone who.. game (e.g. Find someone who has curly hair.
