inauguration of Dr. David Wilson as the storied school’s 12th president.
The inauguration, which included appearances by Baltimore City Mayor
Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, kicked off Sen. Paul Sarbanes
with exhibitions honoring Morgan State’s legacy at the James E. Lewis and Michael Graines
Class of ‘47 graduates

Frances Gaines reception and luncheon and performing arts convocation, among other
programs.
Wilson, a published author of more than 20 books, holds four
advanced academic degrees from Tuskegee University and Harvard
University. He previously held administrative posts at Auburn University
and Rutgers University before coming to Morgan State.
