It made me feel grief and sadness because lots of people died in the tower and it made me feel disappointment for those in charge with the tower’s maintenance and construction for they were unable to fix or see the faults of the towers structure. 2. What aspect of the film did you most engage with? What will you remember? I would remember the aspect in which it tackles how tragic or dangerous a unstable building structure is and how severe weather conditions can destroy massive structures without proper maintenance and stable structure. I will remember the heroism of the firemen who risked their lives to save the people inside the building 3. Would you watch it again? Why or why not? If yes, would a second viewing be different? What would you focus on? Yes I would watch it again because I would want to see the structure of the tower even more. Yes, I would focus again on the building’s faulty structure 4. How would different people view this film differently? Men would view it as an action and thriller movie while women would see it as a drama thriller 5. Does God have a role or is there an impersonal force or fate? Are there are religious themes or connections? How is faith treated? God was referenced when there was a family seen praying to him in the middle of dinner and in the time of the tragedy. The religious themes was prayer. 6. How do characters know right and wrong? Are the characters concerned primarily with the consequences of our actions, with ethical principles, or with being a good person? What do the characters value? The difference of wrong and right were shown through the characters actions and behavior. Yes some of the characters specially the protagonists and the firemen were concerned on doing good by saving loved ones and saving people. Some characters only valued their reputation, status, money and themselves while the Protagonists valued safety of people and their loved ones no matter what standing in life. 7. How this film be connected to design and construction and relate to initial design considerations. What were the strengths and weaknesses? It could be connected to building design because it showed how important the structure of a building is when it comes to the safety of people and it is also important to maintain the structure of such buildings for them to be optimum. Such structures should be able to withstand such weather conditions and should have proper safety escape routes and safety measures. The strengths of the building was it was very ahead of its time with the shape of it’s structure and the technology and equipment that was incorporated in the building firewalls. The weakness was it was not properly maintained making the systems of the building faulty making it’s structure weakened due to freezing made by the harsh weather therefore causing its collapse and destruction.
