Lighting Information: Solutions:

Bright and open space, however at night there is not
any bright light sources to use. At twilight the light
will be slightly better because it is an open space and
light will reach this section of the location
Sound Information:
It is a big open space so sound will travel. The running
water will be quite loud and overpowering. If there
are members of the public, they could be making
noise.
Power Information
There is no one obviously to charge a camera. There
is not anywhere to plug in lighting equipment or
other powered items
Hazards
There is water here so I will need to ensure that my
crew stays safe especially in the water scenes.
Use my 50mm lens on night shoots and use a suitable
aperture to account for the light on the day of the
shoot. Use a camera mounted light to create a subtle
light source. I can also give the actor props to make
up for the lack of light, e.g; lantern, phone etc.
Solutions:
Use a boom mic to get a better quality of sound. The
microphone will hopefully help to pick up the voices
of the actors more than the water. Visit the location
at times where there won’t be many people. Most of
my shoots at this location are night shoots.
Solutions:
Ensure that my camera is charged prior to filming at
this location. Take along two batteries in case one of
them dies. I will need to use equipment that doesn’t
need to be plugged in. Battery powered will be the
best.
Solutions:
Film the scenes in shallow water. Ensure that the
actors can swim and discuss these scenes with them
beforehand.

I chose this location to film the murder scenes because it is very isolated and I think that it looks the
most conventional for my production. There is a big space to utilise and it is a typical horror film
location. I like the fact that it has woodland nearby as well because this will be key for the last scene
of my production.
