I. Write a text about:


The equipment and location for each sport, you have to write what equipment you use for
each sport and where it is played. You have to use only the vocabulary that you have
present do in this cycle (VI). Considered two sports. USE PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE AND
FUTURE SIMPLE TENSE. (5 pts.)

Surfing:

Surf, it is a popular sport in my country because it has beautiful and clean beaches. The most
popular beach is in Mancora, which belong to Piura city. Also there are others well-known
beaches as: Colan in Paita, Pimentel in Chiclayo and Huanchaco in Trujillo. About the
equipment: to practice this sport is necessary to find, first of all, good waves, after that you can
start to use all the essential pieces of surfing as:

 Surfboard
 wetsuit
 surf leash
 surf wax
 earplugs
 surf travel bag

 sunscreen (to avoid the skin cancer)

All these things before mentioned are necessary and important to get a good experience
practicing this sport. To keep in mind, if you are a beginner in this, is better to take some lesson
with a professional. Don’t do that alone. Two is better than one.

Climbing:

Climbing, this is other popular sport in the south of my country, where there are many
mountains with different altitude, the most popular mountains are these: The Huascaran, the
Pastoruri and The Colca’s Canyon. Climbing is considered as a high-risk sport, by this reason if
we want to practice this sport, we will need the right equipment to avoid any injures or the death.

The follow items are the basic equipment to practice this sport:

 Climbing shoes
 Chalk bag
 Climbing rope
 Quick draws
 Carabiners
 Belay device
 Helmet

Also, there are some items use by the experiment climbers, these are: the nuts and cams
known as “friends”. Once time that we have this equipment we will start to conquer the sky.

II. Write four sentences about what was happening to you yesterday at 8 o´clock: use the
PAST SIMPLE TENSE –AND PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE (05 pts.)

III. Make a collage and write a paragraph about any special childhood experience using mainly
the PAST SIMPLE OF VERB TO BE OR PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE.- (05 pts.)

These images represent each stage of my life, when I was born in Piura, my first unforgettable
day in the pool, my first steps to learn to walk, my baptism and first communion in the church of
my neighborhood, the moment of my graduation and now in Currently, when I have my daughter.

• I never become a professional if I don’t study and pass all courses.
• If I finish successfully the second semester in my university, I can start the third semester.
• If disapprove any course, I will not have vacation.
• If the weather is rainy, I will not go to my town.
• If I will not travel to Pacaipampa, I will miss the new year’s party.
• I will get a headache if I drink a lot alcohol.
