Refurbished B-stock Products

Interlogix occasionally offers select products for sale as B-stock—
units that have been used in the field and refurbished. B-stock
products are covered by different warranty conditions and
durations than new products. Refurbished products come with a
one-year limited warranty.

Credit Returns
No returns for credit or refund will be accepted unless you have
obtained a return material authorization as described in the section
entitled “Returning Interlogix products”. Interlogix will refund
or credit new, standard production items that are unused and in the
original unopened shipping cartons for a period of 120 days from
the original date of shipment; however any returned product is
subject to a 25% restocking fee if your request comes more than 60
days after the original ship date. Returns for refund or credit
beyond 120 days from original shipment date will be denied.
Products purchased as part of a kit must be returned in their
entirety (i.e., the entire kit must be returned, not separate parts) to
receive refund or credit. Refund or credit is not available for
custom, special or nonstandard products.
You must use credit within one year of the date of issue. All
returns are subject to Interlogix inspection and approval.

Packaging Your Shipment

Protecting the value of returned products by packaging and
shipping them correctly is your responsibility. The risk of loss for
products being returned to Interlogix remains with Dealer until
received by Interlogix at the Interlogix location designated in the
RMA. Dealer is responsible for compliance with all laws and
regulations related to shipping any products to Interlogix, including
without limitation laws and regulations related to the shipment of
regulated or hazardous materials, to the extent applicable. Dealer
agrees to indemnify Interlogix from all losses and liabilities to
Interlogix arising out of Dealer’s failure to comply with applicable
laws and regulations related to shipping. Interlogix reserves the
right to deny warranty coverage for any damage caused by failing to
meet the following packaging requirements:

BNC Feed-Thru Patch Panels

SPECIFICATIONS
Signamax BNC-style feed-thru connector patch panels may be used with a number of telecommunications applications –
networking, video and audio distribution, VHF equipment, test and measurement, etc. Based on 50- or 75-Ohm BNC
feed-thru keystone-type modules, these panels provide high-quality standard-compliant connections to active equip-
ment or cross-connections between cabling segments. Two panel density designs, “standard-density” and “high-density”
provide flexibility in managing access and cable entry space. Easy field-configuration of Signamax multimedia panels al-
lows quick replacement of individual modules during reconfigurations and upgrades. Available in 12-, 16-, 24-, 32-, and
48-port sized in standard-density design and in 24- and 48-port sizes in high-density design.

KEY FEATURES
• 50- and 75-Ohm feed-thru versions • Field configurable
• Standard-density – 12-, 16-, 24-, 32-, and 48-port sizes • Maximum strength and durability construction
• High-density – 24- and 48-port sizes • Snap-in rear cable management bar (high-density de-
sign only)

Wiring methods shall be in accordance with the National Electrical Code/NFPA 70/NFPA 72/ANSI, and with all local
codes and authorities having jurisdiction. Product is intended for indoor use only.
1. Mount unit in desired location. Mark and predrill holes in the wall to line up with the top two keyholes in the
enclosure. Install two upper fasteners and screws in the wall with the screw heads protruding. Place the enclosure’s
upper keyholes over the two upper screws, level and secure. Mark the position of the lower two holes. Remove the
enclosure. Drill the lower holes and install the three fasteners. Place the enclosure’s upper keyholes over the two
upper screws. Install the two lower screws and make sure to tighten all screws (Enclosure Dimensions, pgs. 11-12).
Secure enclosure to earth ground.

- 2 - ALTV2416UL Series
2. Set power switch on power distribution board marked [PD] to OFF position for models ALTV2416ULX or
ALTV2416ULCBX (Figs. 1, 2, pgs. 4, 5). Set power disconnect circuit breaker to OFF position for all
other models (Figs. 3a-8a, pgs. 6-10).
3. All units are factory set for 24VAC operation.
For 28VAC operation, adjust unit prior to mounting and applying power as follows:
Change the wire position so that the wire marked [28V] is connected to the terminal marked [P] and
the wire marked [24V] is connected to the terminal marked [S].
Note: ALTV2416ULCBX set for 28VAC operation is not Class 2 Rated, not power limited.
4. Connect AC power to the black and white flying leads of the transformer(s) (Figs. 1-8, pgs. 4-10).
Use 18 AWG or larger for all power connections.
Keep power limited (PTC protected outputs only) wiring separate from non-power limited wiring.
Minimum .25” spacing must be provided. Use separate knockouts.
5. Set power switch on power distribution board marked [PD] to ON position for models ALTV2416ULX or
ALTV2416ULCBX (Figs. 1, 2, pgs. 4, 5). Set power disconnect circuit breaker to RESET (ON) position for
all other models (Figs. 3a-8a, pgs. 6-10).
6. Measure output voltage before connecting devices. This helps avoid potential damage.
Terminals marked [1P - 16P] are of the same polarity.
CAUTION: Determine the maximum operating voltage of the equipment being powered before adjusting
the output voltage.
7. Set power switch on power distribution board marked [PD] to OFF position for models ALTV2416ULX or
ALTV2416ULCBX (Figs. 1, 2, pgs. 4, 5). Set power disconnect circuit breaker to OFF position for all
other models (Figs. 3a-8a, pgs. 6-10).
8. Connect devices to terminals marked [1P - 1N through 8P - 8N] on PD8 board (Figs. 1-4, pgs. 4-7,
Figs. 7-8, pgs. 9-10), or terminals marked [1P - 1N through 16P - 16N] on PD16W/PD16WCB board
(Figs. 5-6, pg. 8), carefully observing polarity.
9. Set power switch on power distribution board marked [PD] to ON position for models ALTV2416ULX or
ALTV2416ULCBX (Figs. 1, 2, pgs. 4, 5). Set power disconnect circuit breaker to RESET (ON) position for
all other models (Figs. 3a-8a, pgs. 6-10).
10. Green LED will illuminate when power is present.
11. Upon completion of wiring, secure enclosure door with screws (supplied). Installation of cam lock is optional.
Caution: Equipment to be installed/serviced by authorized/trained personnel only.
Shut branch circuit power before installing/servicing equipment.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
This installation should be made by qualified service personnel and should conform to all local codes and in
accordance with the National Electrical Code. Use 75º C or higher rated UL insulated wiring for connecting the
unit to the mains. Replace fuses only with the same type and rating (refer to Sixteen (16) Output ALTV2416UL
Reference Chart, pg. 2).

The lightning flash with arrow head symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of an insulated “DANGEROUS VOLTAGE” within the products enclosure that may be of sufficient
magnitude to constitute an electric shock.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important
operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock do not open enclosure. There are
no user serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
