pick the best three anti-virus software namely Norton, McAfee and AVG.

Standard because it belongs to most basic in category of Norton product’s. They do
offer some upgraded version such as Norton Security Deluxe at price range of
MYR129.00 and followed by their flagship software called Norton Security Premium
which will cost around MYR239.00.

McAfee antivirus is offered as low as MYR99.50. For McAfee they didn’t categorize
their products as basic, mid or high spec, instead of that they differentiate their product
price range in tally with number of users. For instance, at price range of MYR99.50,
they provide license for 5 devices and for MYR259.00 they provide license for 10
devices. Both antivirus is defined as “Total Protection”.

AVG antivirus is offered as low as MYR129.00, apart from that they do have freeware
version as well. The freeware version acts as a complimentary package for end user to
enjoy AVG benefit’s without spending any single cents, however if they like the AVG

available at the price range of MYR266.00

Norton antivirus: No, because Norton antivirus provide their package as all-in-one.
They do not have any different software for a network nor individual.

McAfee antivirus: No, because the privileges/benefits provided by them is same for all
category of antivirus- let it be for individual user or for a network base.

AVG antivirus: Yes, they do provide different software for a network than it does for
an individual user. They categorize it as partner/business for network base use.

5. Does the software allow you to schedule automatic updating?

Yes, all three website Norton, McAfee and AVG antivirus enable users to perform
automatic update. This will ensure users antivirus is up to date with latest
virus/malware/threats definition.
