Nazareth preserves the special atmosphere of Jesus' childhood in Galilee despite the
renovations that the Old City has undergone to adapt to the new millennium. This city stands
out for its narrow streets that intertwine with the sinuous pilgrimage routes and the restored
market. The Old City is a wonderful example
of a Mediterranean city and most of its
houses are built with the well-known stone of
Galilee.
Tel Aviv is the economic engine, the most important financial center of the country, as well as
the cultural capital of Israel. It is an open, cosmopolitan city, and a World Heritage Site by
UNESCO since 2003.

founded coinciding with a convention of Jews of Yafo in 1906, at which time began to outline
the lines for the construction and birth of the city that we know today. The magical
environment, the sea, the green spaces ... They were the reason why this was the place chosen

residential neighborhoods, and in the upper zone, the new and
modern residential neighborhoods with the best views.

among them the famous Mount Tabor, a place where, according to Christian tradition, the
Transfiguration of Jesus took place. The climate is rainy and humid, registering a rainfall of up
to 800 mm. The main economic activities are agriculture and fishing in the Sea of Galilee. It is a
crossroads between the Mediterranean plains and deserts east of the Jordan River.
TOURISM
Galilea is a popular destination for domestic and foreign tourists who enjoy its scenic,
recreational and gastronomic offers. The Galilee attracts many Christian pilgrims, since many
of Jesus' miracles occurred, according to the New Testament, on the shores of the Sea of
Galilee, including his walk on water, calming the storm and feeding five thousand people in
Tabgha. In addition, numerous sites
of Biblical importance are found in
Galilee, such as Megiddo, Jezreel
Valley, Mount Tabor, Hazor, Hattin
Horns, and more.
A popular hiking trail known as the
yam leyam, or from sea to sea,
begins hikers in the Mediterranean.
Then they walk through the
mountains of Galilee, Tabor, Neria
and Meron, until their final destination, the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee).
In April 2011, Israel unveiled the "Way of Jesus", a 60-kilometer trail in the Galilee for Christian
pilgrims. The trail includes a network of footpaths, paths and bike paths that link central sites
of the life of Jesus and his disciples, including Tabgha, the traditional site of Jesus' miracle of
loaves and fishes, and the Mount of Beatitudes, where He delivered his Sermon on the Mount.
It ends in Capernaum on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus espoused his teachings.
