These are the customer release notes for the current released
Lexmark CX310/CX410,CX510 laser printer firmware, which consists of the
following revisions:

Printer Revision: LW41.GMx.P454 (x=2,4,7)

Engine Revision: FDN.VY.E402

Release date: October 2014

NOTE: Firmware updates may modify printer settings and cause counterfeit and/or
unauthorized products,
supplies, parts, materials (such as toners and inks), software, or interfaces to
stop working.
Authorized use of Genuine products will not be impacted.

Added firmware support for AccuRead Automate App v.1.1. (on 7/10" eTask models
only)
Improved robustness and performance of scan-related functions - especially w.r.t.
concurrent jobs.
Improved memory management in specific low memory conditions.
Addressed Openssl CVE-2014-0224 SSL/TLS MITM vulnerability.
Addressed the OpenSSL security issues CVE-2014-3511, CVE-2014-5139 & CVE-2014-3509.
Changed name of Lexmark Mobile Direct to Direct Mobile Print.
Updated pre-installed Scan to Network app to version 4.5.14. (eTask models only)
Updated pre-installed Card Copy app to version 2.12.0. (on 7/10" eTask models only)

- Addressed an issue that could lead to a 950.01 NVRAM Mismatch error when
upgrading a device
directly from EC0 firmware (initial start-of-production release) to EC4 firmware
(P436).

Field Issues, Fixes and Other Improvements

Addressed the OpenSSL Security issue: TLS heartbeat read overrun (CVE-2014-0160).
Addressed an issue that could cause devices to drop off the network when waking
from sleep mode.
Allow user to continue to the Ready state when unsupported supplies are installed
(but still does not allow user to print with unsupported supplies).
Made various user interface improvements on the operator panel/screen.
Made minor enhancements to the EWS (embedded web server) interface.
Addressed several issues that could lead to diverse 900.xx errors (e.g., 900.00,
900.12, 900.30, 900.36, 900.40, 900.43, 900.46, 900.70, 900.80 & & 900.81 errors).
Fixed some issues of devices not printing correct output with certain PCL5 & PCL-XL
print jobs.
Fixed some issues of devices printing incorrect output or error pages with certain
PDF or Postscript print jobs.
Addressed multiple translation issues.
Addressed some SNMP inconsistencies.
Improved memory management in specific low memory conditions.
Addressed some minor issues with the Device Statistics page.
Addressed some minor issues with the Job Accounting log.
Addressed some issues that could lead to the device hanging intermittently.
Addressed an issue that could lead to a hang when printing from USB thumbdrive.
Fixed a minor tray linking issue.

Extended GARP/ARP Probe support.
Fixed a wireless connection issue when using 802.1x and PEAP authentication.
Enhanced support for OMNIKEY 5427 badge readers.
Removed the "Enable Time to Hibernate" screen from the Initial Setup process.
Changed default Hibernate setting from "Disabled" to "3 days" for certification
purposes. (Note that "Hibernate on Connection" default setting is still "Do Not
Hibernate.")
Changed default Sleep timeout to 20 minutes (for certification purposes).

Addressed minor text alignment issues with LDD scripts and eSF apps. (eTask models

Allow fax footer to include "Print Time" or "Receive Time" of fax (based on an EWS
setting).
Added multiple enhancements to aid in resolving customer fax issues.
Addressed several fax-related issues.
Addressed several FoIP (Fax over IP) issues.
Fixed an issue in which a scan profile with MRC compression would use JPEG
compression instead.
Addressed an issue in which some Scan-to-Email default settings could change when
choosing an email address from an LDAP server.
Resolved some scan-related issues when using Image Capture.
Addressed an issue that prevented EdgeErase function from working properly.
Addressed an issue in which a Scan-to-FTP PDF file resulted in an "insufficient
data for an image" when attempting to open the file.
Improved the usability of the EWS shortcuts.
Addressed an issue in which a user could not cancel a large scan-to job when using
an app on a low-memory device.
Added DisplayName attribute to LDAP support.
Addressed an issue in which some 7" LCDs on older devices upgraded to P3xx firmware
could see minor temporary flicker when coming out of sleep mode.

Field Service related enhancements:

Made error logging improvements in device history pages and event log.
Added support for GZIP Log link from EWS SE page on non-disk models.
Corrected an issue in which the device page count could increment incorrectly when
replacing system cards and then rebooting directly into the Diagnostics menu.

Simplified the UICC EEprom field update method by creating a single common flash
file.
Created a method to automatically capture log files to a thumb drive at POR.

Addressed several issues that could lead to diverse 900.xx errors (e.g., 900.00,
900.30, 900.32, 900.40, 900.43, 900.52, 900.57, 900.77 & 900.80 errors)
Addressed an issue that could lead to a 976 Service Network Software error.
Addressed an issue in which the device awakes from sleep if TCP port 9100 is
opened.
Made change to allow first character of Hostname to be numeric.
Improved wireless performance in weak signal environments.
Addressed connection delays associated with DNS lookup while using Active
Directory. (eTask models only)
Provided a 802.1x fix needed when authenticating with Windows Server 2008 or
Windows Server 2012.
Added capability to Scan to Mac OSX guest share.
Provided a fix for Scan to Network Folder with DFS shares.
