This was our demo class.

The following map is a route map I

did in order to explain better all the procedure.

Route Map
Before the lesson

Material A big paper of the board

game, three papers (one for
each group and one for the
teachers), two dices and
eight counters.

Timing 1-2 minutes to think in their

possible answers of the
questions and 8 minutes to
play the game.

Language Future forms such us “Be

going to” and “Will”.

Instructions Think individually their

possible answers and then
play the game. It consists in
throwing the dice and
advancing the boxes that it
says as long as the student
answers the question
correctly.

Seating arrangement Two groups of four.

Possible problems To express their answers

using the vocabulary.

We show this video because there appear many situations
where the students can use future forms. So, we stop the
video in some parts and ask any student to guess what will
happen.

Setting up the activity

First, I separate the class in two groups of
four. I do like a big board game in order to
explain the students better what they have
to do. Then, I give every group a dice and 4
counters and explain them how to play the
game.
Running the activity

We were monitoring the class and listening the answers of

the students and remind them to use be going to and will.

Closing the activity

We give them 8 minutes and when the time finished, we

look in both groups which student had the best position.
And then say who was the winner of the game.

Post-activity

As a post-activity we told one student of one group to ask

any question of the board game to any other member of the
other group. With this activity the student could know a
different answer of his classmate and also has the chance
of practicing the language.
