RIVISION FOR SPEAKING EXAMINATION – LEVEL B

TOPIC I. MY HISTORY LIFE AND PRESENT LIFE:

My name is Tong Nguyen Thoi Minh. I’m 14. I’m a student at Trung Vuong junior high
school. I was born in Quy Nhon city. I live at 43 Hung Vuong street. I live with my brother, don’t
live wwith my parents because they live in Quy Nhon city and I want independent. I learn very
hard all day till the morning to mid-night. I’m a student so I don’t have any salary but my parents
send me some money every month. I feel pleased with my present life because I have all things I
want. The happiest time in my life is when I get a good result. I really love my present life and
I’ll try my best to do better and better in the future.
TOPIC II. MY FAMILY:
My family is small. There are 4 members in my family: my father, my mother, my brother
and me. My father’s name is Hoang. He is 45. He is a doctor and he works at Binh Dinh province
hospital. My mother’s name is Lien. She is 41. She is a teacher, she teaches at Huynh Thuc
Khang Junior high school. My brother’s name is Kiet. He is 12. He is a student at Trung Vuong
junior high school. I love my mother best. Because she always takes care of me when I’m sick
and teaches my brother and me everything. In my family, my parents are the main members.
Because they earn money to bring me up. My family is very happy although my family
sometimes argue. I want my father to live with my family to keep a happy family. People say
“Children is a bridge of a happy family” so I’ll study harder to do that. I always feel home sick
when I live far from my family. I love my family very much.

TOPIC III. MY BEST FRIEND:

Nowadays, friends play an important roles in our mordern life. I have many friends but I
have just a best friend, Tan Khoi. He’s 14. He is my classmate in class 8.2 Trung Vuong Junior
high school. I first met him when we were 3. I usually meet him in class or in our house. I think
that a good friend is a friend who always make me happy so I choose him to become my best
friend. He’s friendly, sociable, talkative,… If somebody need a help, he will do all things he can
do. In our study, he helps me to improve my speaking skill and I help him in informatics. We ever
have an argument with him but I solve by saying “sorry” before although he was wrong. If you
have a bad friend, you will receive a bad final. He is good friend so I decide him to be my best
friend. We will do all together to keep a good friendship.

TOPIC IV. MY PRESENT CAREER / MY FUTURE CAREER:

I’m a student at Trung Vuong junior high school. I study many subjects at school such as:
Math, Physic, Chemistry, English, Biology,… I always get good marks in my studying. Everyday,
I go to school by car or motorbike. At school, I study 5 hours from Monday to Saturday expect
Sunday. I think I will change my career because I’m studying to do that. When I grow up, I want
to become a doctor, the same job as my father. I think the doctor can not only get a good salary
but also help sick people. I want to be a leader because I want to guide the others. I love my
present career.
TOPIC V. MY FREE TIME:
I study during this week and I have only Sunday off. I go to school in the morning.
Sometimes I have to study on Sunday. I am very busy with my studying. When I have free time, I
often play video games, online Facebook, listen to music,… The sort of music I like best is blue
music. And I often read fiction books and my favorite program on television is series. At the
weekend, I usually go to “Karaoke” with my friends or my family. Someone think “If we have
much free time, we will have many bad habits”. I don’t agree with that statement because
everybody use their free time to different objects. I think that today people don’t have more free
time than before because all people must work hard everyday.
TOPIC VI. MY CITY
 I was born in Pleiku city and I have been living here for 14 years. Pleiku is a big city on
the central highland. The population of Pleiku is about…………... There are only 2 seasons in
Pleiku: the dry season and the rainy season. The dry season lasts for 6 months and the rainy
season does, too. Pleiku has been developing very fast. There are many high buildings, big
restaurants, hotels and supermarkets. Education has been improved, there are many schools and it
has a college. If someone has a chance to visit Pleiku, I’ll recommend them many beautiful
places such as Tơ’Nưng lake, Dong Xanh park… With me, I think Pleiku will be able to develop
tourism in the future. In short, I love Pleiku very much.

TOPIC VII. WEATHER AND SEASON IN GIA LAI:

Gia Lai is a big province on the central highland. There are only 2 seasons in Gia Lai: the
dry season and the rainy season. The dry season lasts for 6 months and the rainy season does, too.
The average rainfall is about 2.500 mm. The average temperature is 25 oC. The climate in Gia Lai
is very good for growing industrial plants such as: rubber or coffee. The climate is very good for
tourists. Recent year, the climate in Gia lai has changed because the people don’t protect the
invironment. So we must improve the imvironment to have a good climate.

TOPIC VIII. THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN OUR

MORDERN LIFE:
Nowadays, English is an international language, it’s more and more popular in ther world.
I think English is very important because I’ll get a good job in the future if I study English well. I
have study English for 9 years when I was 5. I think that pronunciation is really difficult so I
practice that everyday to improve my skill. Learning Englush have many advantages. You can
communicate with foreigners, get more knowledge from many information in English
websites.Viet Nam is a developing-country so English is very important and popular. In many
countriesm English is the second language. For example, in Singapore, people use English and
Chinese to communicate. If I go abroad, I’ll choose England because I want to improve more and
more my English skills.

TOPIC IX. YOUR WAY OF KEEPING YOURSHELT FIT AND HEALTHY:

Health is very important to all people in the world. People say “Health is all”. There are
some ways to have a good health in our life. First of all, we should have a comfortable diet. For
example, we should eat more nutrition food instead of smoking or using alcoholic drinks. It’s
very important because what we eat highly affects our health. Besides, we can do exercise very
morning such as: walking, riding bicycle and so on to keep fit. That helps us to have a well body
and always in good morale. Finally, sleeping is also very important so we must sleep enough. If
we sleep enough, we will be high energy. We should not stay uo late because it is harmful to our
health. In short, we just need to try our best to take care of ourselves. Having a good health, we
can do whatever we want and can get success in our life.

TOPIC X. MY FAVORITE FOODS AND DRINKS:

Food and drink play an important role in our life. It’s very necessary to our life because we
will die if we don’t eat or drink anything. Viet Nam has some typical food: noodle, pork-pie,
pancake,… I can make some dishes, such as: beef steak, fish sauce,.. But I like to cook Duong
Chau rice best. When I’m busy, I usually eat the fast-food. It’s very comfortable but not good for
our health. Some people like drinking beer, they drinks it to maje the connection at work. That is
a bad conceive. You should choose good food and drink for our meal to keep fit anh healthy.
