To All SIG Employees:

As was announced yesterday, SIG has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Crown Holdings, Inc. Because Crown is a
public company, I unfortunately was not able to talk about it with all of you before the announcement went out yesterday.

This is an incredible milestone for our company, and you should be very proud of your hard work and dedication to our
customers and our business, which have enabled us to achieve this goal. I personally am very excited about the potential this
unlocks for us in the years to come. Every interaction I’ve had with Crown’s CEO has reinforced that we share a common
vision and commitment to innovation, safety, and results. Crown has great respect for the business we’ve built and our
brands, for our strong team, and for our culture.

Crown Holdings is a leading international producer of rigid metal containers, including food and aerosol cans. Their strategy
has been to provide high quality containers, remain a low cost provider of product for their customers, and execute on
strategic acquisitions. Crown’s strategy has been, and will continue to be, to focus on earnings growth and cash flow genera-
tion.

You are probably wondering why a Company that makes cans is buying SIG. First, Crown recognizes that SIG is a best-in-class
provider of industrial packaging and a total solutions provider, with respected brands and a proven track record of success
when it comes to delivering on our promise to get our customer’s products to their final destinations safely. Additionally, we
offer strength and diversification of products, and a diverse customer base. Because we serve so many industries, we are not
dependent on any one market sector. We offer industry leading equipment and tools, with strong coordinated engineering
and service efforts that span US, Europe and ASIA. Crown recognizes that our expansive plant network and experienced
organization allow us to quickly and efficiently serve our customers.

Unlike other transactions that are premised on excessive cost cuts, for Crown, this deal is about the opportunities to grow
revenues. We have scale and provide a platform for Crown to grow, and the ability to enhance free cash flow. I think you’ll
appreciate that SIG and Crown fit well together. SIG has built an industry leading company with an increasing array of innova-
tive products and services to a broad range of customers. Crown is in a different type of packaging, but it’s all about packag-
ing, innovative design, and customer service.

So, what happens next? In terms of immediate steps, the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing
conditions. We expect the deal to close in the first quarter of 2018.

Apart from that, our jobs will be the same as they were yesterday – it will be business as usual. Our goals and vision remain
unchanged. Until the transaction is complete, SIG and Crown Holdings will remain separate companies. After the transaction,
SIG will continue to operate as a separate operating segment of Crown. The key to our success has been – and will continue to
be – you.

As we move forward, I ask that you continue to focus on your day-to-day responsibilities, and on providing our customers with
the industry-leading products and service they expect from us. As in any transaction of this size, the integration process will
take time. In the coming weeks, we will establish a transition-planning team. We will also communicate more information to
you as quickly as we can on our transition plans. I encourage all of you to visit the Crown website, where they have posted a
webcast that discusses the strategy for this deal, and to review the press release: https://www.crowncork.com/news/-

Together, we are running a company that is profitable and stable in a constantly evolving market. This is a testament to your
hard work and dedication. You have helped position us to go down this path, and I am excited about the opportunities ahead.
Thank you for all you have done to make yesterday’s announcement possible. It's an honor to work with each of you.

Warmest Regards,

Mark Burgess, CEO
