INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCOUT MOC PATTERN

Pattern Includes: Ladies Sizes 4-11 (men make one side large)
You Will Need:
• 4-5 oz. moccasin leather
• 3 pair laces (30" each)
• 1/8" hole punch
• Mallet
• Tanner's bond® Craftsman Cement
• 14" straightened piece of clothes hanger wire
• 9 yards waxed thread
• Needle
• Insoles (can be made from leather or purchased pre-mode)

STEP 1: Transfer pattern onto tracing film or cardboard Trace proper o 0

. STEP 4: First, tie knot in one end of lace Lay plug in position on vamp
and lace through diamond hole in vamp into first hole of plug. Lace com-
plete circle and back through vamp into inside. Go through 2nd hole of Use one of the laces to lace both
vamp from inside (the leather will start to gather) Lace through second of the moccasin heel section

STEP 5: Start lace for cuff through plug as shown Continue to lace until
you reach the heel For small sizes, overlap heel quarters to use 011 four
holes. Larger sizes only overlap three holes. Continue lacing, when you
reach the end of the cuff, put lace through plug holes and your mocco-
