Disclaimer: this information was retrieved via the tertiary admission centres (I called them up) as well as
the website for each program. You should do your due diligence and check them yourself. iCanMed will
not be held accountable for date changes or differences in actual closing dates. OR, the best way to
prevent mistakes is to submit your application as early as possible!

INTRODUCTION:

Basically, you apply via the tertiary admissions centre of every state (except for the University of
Tasmania, which you apply directly to the university):

ACT/NSW — Universities Admissions Centre (UAC)

QLD — Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC)

SA/NT — South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC)

TAS — Applications go directly to the institution

VIC — Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC)

WA — Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC)

Also assume any university that requires an undergrad degree to be completed before commencing into
the doctor of medicine program requires you to at least maintain 5.5 GPA during that first degree -
basically you still have to work pretty hard after you get into the program to enter into the Medicine
component compared to straight MD or MBBS degrees without a 'pre-qualifying' component.

****There are several universities that require a written application AS well as the usual administrative

Hi,

Just confirming, UON and WSU do not have any written selection criteria, unlike
UNSW?
