Decisions Made: (What, Why, Impacts)

 PBIS sytem will be utilized for 2020-2021 school year. This will be headed by Dr. Lowe,
Tarron Huddleston, and Kimberly Malcolm.
 Counselors will be responsible for tracking attendance among their senior students and
pulling them in to issue warnings for chronic absenteeism.

Discussion: (Items/Knowledge Shared)

 School attendance issues are a problem at LHS and need to be rectified to increase
academic success.
 The highest absenteeism is among juniors and seniors, likely due to increasing job and family
responsibilities
 PBIS can be incorporated to reward students for good attendance (dances, movies, pep
rallies, exemption on finals, etc.)
 18 year olds who have chronic absenteeism and no IEP should be removed from school after
receiving 2 warnings
