Weather Activities

Dog and bone
Equipment
• 1 x Wicket
• 1 x ball
Instructions
1. Split the group in two with one group on each
side of the square play area.
2. Place a cricket ball (the bone) in the middle of
the playing area. Each team must be numbered
1 to 10 (change this depending on group size).
3. The instructor shouts a number and the two
people with that number (on opposite teams)
must try to get the bone before the other one.
4. Once a player has the bowl they try and score,
by bowling the wickets.
5. If multiple numbers are called, more students
will get up, but a team can’t score until
everyone has been passed to once in the team.
6. Who ever score the goal gets a point for their
team.
7. Whichever team gets the most points at the end of the game wins.


Dodge ball

Equipment
• 6 x balls
• 2 x cones
Instructions
1. Split group into 2 even groups,
each team lining up on
opposite ends on the square
2. All the balls are lined up in the
middle before the game has
started
3. Whistle is blown and both
teams sprint to the middle to
attempt to grab a ball
4. The aim is to hit the opposition
below the waist, so they are out
5. If a member catches the
oppositions throw, the thrower
is out
6. If your out and your team member catches the ball, your back in the game
7. First team to be all out loses
