IR Fe ERS AND PRIVATE IES Vide our circular ref, HO/Mot/1112/04 dated 27.01.2012 (copy enclosed) we had circulated to you the guidelines on sale and marketing of Nii Depreciation cover as an Add-on with two wheelers and private car policy. As per these guidelines, the authority to grant such cover is curently vested in the Regionalin- Charges who may, in tum, delegate the same to an officer not below the rank of scale-IV posted in RO, The cover has since gained wide popularity and in order to address the rising demand for the cover, representations have been received from certain ROs for further delegating the authority for granting the cover to the Operating Offices. ‘These representations have been examined carefully and keeping in view the experience gained so far as also the popular demand for the cover, It has been decided to further delegate the authority to all Offcers-in- Charge of operating offices, who may extend this Add On cover to the Two Wheelers and Private Cars with in the frame work of the Scheme and underwriting guidelines communicated fo you in our cicular dated 27.01.2042, but withthe folowing loading of premium to be applied on Basic OD premium : S.No. ‘Age of the Vehicle Loading on Basic Own Damage Rate 1 New Vehicle 18% 2 Tess than two years 25% 3 Between wo and three years 35% 4 Between three and five years 40% Officers-in-Charge of Divisional Offices may, if so required, furher delegate the authority to an officer not below the rank of ScaleI, who may act on behalf of the Divisional ~in-Charge fr this purpose. ‘Al Operating Offices can now issue this cover to the Two Wheelers/Private Car proposals merting this ND ‘Cover within the underariting norms.
