Thesis Statement

Nearly every aspect of modern life involves computers in some form or fashion. As technology is
advancing, the scale of computer use is increasing. Computer users include both corporate
companies and individuals. Computers are efficient and reliable; they ease people's onerous jobs
through software and applications specific to their needs offering convenience. Moreover,
computers allow users to generate correct information quickly, hold the information so it is
available at any time. Computers and technology affect how we live, work and entertain ourselves.
A logistics and tracking document processing is a system that can track, manage, store document
and reduce time of manual processing. Most are capable of keeping record the various versions
created and modified by different users. Using papers in managing logistics and tracking limited
the movement of every transaction. It slows the process of productivity in making important
documents.

Background of the problem

HK engineering Works was established on 2007 by Howard King to service their sister company’s
machineries that focuses on meat processing but as time goes by; they expanded and service other
companies. The company is still using manual system despite of the advances in technology
nowadays. They still using papers to compile all their records of deliveries, billing transaction and
man service of their company. The record is filed a cabinet. Since HK Engineering Works is still
using manual system, it consumes time finding all the documents that they need. And it is also
hard for them to track the workers who is available and the workers that in the field. In connection
to this, the proponents propose a logistics and tracking system to HK Engineering Works that
would suggest an alternative way in improving and accelerate their preceding system for their
company. HK Engineering Works had been the priority of the proponents in creating a logistics
and tracking system for the benefit of the company and its employees, as well as to provide a
logistics and tracking system that offers fast transactions.
How to Strengthen

Since the company is a sister company of machineries that process meat, it goes having different
branches which the big deal is handling different data in different location when using a manual
procedure, they have. There’s a way on strengthen the company procedure by using the uprising
technology now a days, which could help their everyday business procedure and how they manage
and secure the data’s that generate everyday transaction. Using technology such as web and
application could help their data more secured and manageable than the traditional way of they
storing data. Using Database System helps their daily transactions to be more accurate and
inconsistent which tends more good decision and company progress.

How to migrate to a better set up

There are different ways to setup your own application which help to manage your data. There are
setting up your own server or using a cloud technology, there’s a huge different of that setting up
your own server and cloud computing. The Server base technology is tend to having a setup that
hold your own data, such as data center which store your data on the specific location, which could
a highly cost, while the cloud computing is most popular trends of technology now a days that uses
a network of remote hosted on the Internet store, manage and process data, rather than local server
or your own personal computer.

Ideal Implementation

 Security
Security is one of the important things you should know in database system. Which this
protect your sensitive and complicated data from malicious user that can be use in
different ideas such as using your personal information for other transaction and credit
card skimming which for now these days most people spend money through online
transaction which very vulnerable from hacking and stealing credit card information.
 Backup Methods
Using cloud technology backup method is not a problem, because the cloud computing
platform has their own backup procedure on take caring your data. For data that lives
in the cloud in software as service (SaaS) application, with these practice copies the
data to another cloud which different base hosting but you could also access your data.
 Recovery / Crash Recovery
In terms of Crash Recovery, using cloud technology for HK Engineering Works cloud
computing platforms could manage these problems, if one of the servers fail down it
could ensure that the operational status of given virtual server is always being backed
up and checked by the hypervisor on a routine basis. If the virtual server is not running
or shows no sign of operation after a certain length of time, then the hypervisor takes
action and restart the virtual server automatically, to recover the virtual server from
crashing.

transactions in their daily business process. The ability to access a certain department
is one of the needed by the application system which holds the most crucial assets. It is

and how the database system organizes the database within the application system.

Now of these days the technology has a huge uprising innovation and holds the total innovative
invention in history. And one the bracket in technology is internet, therefore the web technology
is the most common use to marketize and get a bonded in the business market. Web is mostly used
for such as marketing, banking, medical research and retail/marketing. Most of them uses different
ways of database technology such as local server and cloud server that could help to store their
data’s, on the other hand after 5 years of vision most of the database are being stored in cloud
computing database which could really help the company have the right decision making in their
business.

How to Integrate ang migrate into cloud computing (Explain why or why not with complete
analysis)

Cloud Computing is the one of the biggest trends in technology base on handling database. There
are many cloud computing platforms that could help HK Engineering Works that could easily
setup their own virtual server at the same time that has a low cost. These are some of the company
that serve cloud computing such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure, Google
Cloud Platform and Oracle Cloud, these company has they’re of own cloud computing services
with regard in cloud computing. There are 3 types of services that uses such as Infrastructure as
Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). To migrate into a
cloud computing could spend more time on migrating their data in the cloud platform. Since this
is a Online Logistic and Tracking System the cloud computing would really help for this kind of
system which could easy able to track the delivery of the item using Realtime Google Map which
could lessen the fraud and stealing items while in delivering the items.
