Part 1: Visual Multiple Choice - 5 Questions.

1. The questions could be either a dialogue or a monologue.


2. Candidates listen and match the picture according to the dialogue.
3. Daily conversation will be used: A conversation between a mother and a son- discussing what
would the son want to have for dinner.

Part 2: Sequencing – 5 empty blanks.

1. There will be a sequence of event.


2. 7 answers will be provided.
3. Candidates have to choose 5 out of 7 the correct ones. 2 extra answers act as distractors.

You will listen to a teacher talking to a new student about what to do on her first day
at school. For questions 6 to 10, complete the notes with options A - G. You only need

Part 1: Objectives (8 Questions)

1. Candidates have to read the whole text in order to get the answers.

4. All words and vocab used will be only in B1 level.

Part 5: Note Completion (6 Questions)

1. Gapped text- Cohesion and Cohesive devises will be tested here- anaphoric/cataphoric.
2. Longest text and quite difficult.
3. There will be 6 empty blanks and 8 choices of answers will be given).
4. Candidates write only the alphabets and later on transfer the answers after the exam.
Part 1: Short Communicative Message (20 marks)

1. Candidates have to respond to an informal message.


2. This includes- email, informal letter, short message, note, postcard.
3. Candidates are advised to follow the word limit. (80 words)
4. If more, it is okay.
5. Sample question:
A friend would like to try a new hobby and he has a few on his mind. Write a
short reply suggesting a suitable hobby for him.
Part 2: A semi-formal essay

1. Candidates have to respond to a given visual organizer.


2. Candidates may add their own ideas and there is no limit to the context.
3. Freedom is given to the candidates especially on how they interpret the question.
4. Candidates are advised to follow the word limit. (120 words).
5. Sample Questions:
Recently, you have celebrated a festival. Using the note below, write an essay in
about 120 words.
