Overview The inlet provides a 10 micron

Reference Ambient Air
Samplers (RAAS) are Federal
Reference Method Samplers
specifically designed to comply
with requirements of the
National Ambient Air Quality
Standards (NAAQS) for
Particulate Matter (40 CFR Part
50). The standard requires a
fixed flow rate sampler, operat-
ing at 16.67 liters/minute (one
cubic meter per hour), using a
specified inlet, tubing, second-
ary size selective impactor, and
filter holder.

RAAS2.5/10 Sampling Systems

The RAAS2.5 - 100 / RAAS10 - 100 series meets FRM (Federal Reference Method) standards for single day sampling. Gravimetric filter-
based with a single channel flow devise that produces a 24-hour concentration. This sampler will be used for the routine monitoring in
the SLAMS network, or any fence line monitoring program. US EPA Designation Number: RFPS-0598-119 (PM2.5) and RFPS-0699-130
(PM10).

The RAAS2.5 - 200 / RAAS10 - 200 is a standalone sampling system meeting the Federal Reference Method requirements for single fil-
ter PM2.5 sampling. It is designed to meet the portability requirements of an audit sampler. Also gravimetric filter based, this sampler
is designed to be transportable and capable of frequent sampling, and will be used to fulfill the requirement in the independent audit
program. US EPA Designation Number: RFPS-0299-128 (PM2.5) and RFPS-0699-131 (PM10).

The RAAS2.5 - 300 / RAAS10 - 300 series meets FRM standards for sequential day sampling. This gravimetric filter-based sampler can
automatically be set up for another 24-hour sample without operator assistance. US EPA Designation Number: RFPS-0598-120 (PM2.5)
and RFPS-0699-132 (PM10).
