My best colleague - Olosz Petra XI A 2015

I would like to nominate Nándor for the award ”My best colleague” because
he truly deserves to win this title after everything he has done for me, not
only as a colleague but also as a really good friend.
Firstly, I would like to point out some of Nándor’s main qualities. He is one
of the most reliable persons I have ever met. I can literally talk to him about
anything, without needing to worry that he might tell someone anything
we’ve talked about. He is always there for me, no matter whether I’m at my
best or my worst, he is always there and he always manages to make me
feel better. I really enjoy it when he makes me laugh when I don’t feel like
laughing. He knows when there’s something wrong with me even if I try to
hide it, he just knows it, I still don’t know whether it’s my face or my eyes
that give me away.He is also extremely intelligent and has lots of interesting
hobbies, which luckily enough we share.
Secondly, it’s really exciting when you become so close with someone that
you find parts of yourself in that person. I feel like we are connected in
some way, because we often think alike and we have a similar sense of
humor. We can exchange an inside joke with just a glance.I think opening up
your soul to someone, letting them into your thoughts, fears, regrets and
hopes is one of the most beautiful signs of a strong and healthy bond. We
can comfortably share a silence and actually enjoy it without feeling weird
about it or trying to figure out what we should say next. On the other hand,
we can also talk for hours without getting bored. Boring is actually the last
word I’d use to describe what we have. I think it’s quite hard to find this
kind of compatibility.
Needless to say, he is also the most amazing colleague one could ever have.
I’m really glad that he is my deskmate and that I get to see him every day.
To be frank, I sort of feel lost and depressed when he is not at school. Of
course we help each other in school work and sometimes during test
papers, but that is quite insignificant when compared to what we actually
do for each other.
Everyone has their own definition of what their own best friend is like,
therefore I won’t say that he is better than the alternatives, although he
obviously is. For me Nándor is basically everything I could wish for when
choosing my best friend. Therefore, I wholeheartedly urge you to appoint
him in the role of ”My best colleague”, because he is undoubtedly worthy of
this title.
