We have solved the PROBLEM 3.20(7th edition), we found that

we get wrong answer if we find specific volume using the
relation V/M as compared to the proper relation v=vf+(vg-vf).

SOLUTION:
As the system is two phases liquid vapour.System equation
v=V/m cannot be used.So this equation is used for pure
substance in single phase.When a substance is two phase such
as liquid vapour it exist in liquid and vapour state so the
specific volume is different from that of liquid hence we need
to use equation for mixture that is
V=vf(vg-vf)
