Let’s Explore!

John and Peter are catching up at a Welcome Home party.

Instructions: Read the text aloud.

John: Hey Peter! It's great to see you!

Peter: Yeah, it's been a while. What was it like working on a cruise ship?
John: We worked hard, but we had some free time to explore.
Peter: Can you tell me what your favorite port was?
John: I loved Mexico. We went all the way down Baja California to Cabo San Lucas,
then to Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.
Peter: Can you describe the food for me?
John: Absolutely! Mexican food is mostly spicy. It's often served with tacos.
Peter: What are real tacos like?
John: Tacos are a round, soft circle. You can put almost anything into a taco, like
meat, shrimp or cooked vegetables. My favorite is a taco with pork and
pineapple called Pastor.
Peter: Could you make me some tacos?
John: Sure!
