Assembly
WARNING
Risk of electric shock
Electrical work may only be carried out by
qualified personnel.
The cables emerging from the ceiling must be
disconnected from the power supply.
Disconnect the electrical systems from power
supply and secure against accidentally being
switched on.
The mains connection component is equipped
with a switch for the disconnection of all
poles, see page 46.
WARNING
Danger from central axis falling down
The central axis is heavy.
Secure the central axis with an installation lift
during installation or disassembly.
NOTE
The arms are marked with red stickers at the
connection. Each sticker has a counterpart -
another red sticker - at the central axis.
Red stickers only belong to the Polaris 100/200
light.
The stickers between the arms and the central
axis must be removed after the assembly is
finished.
WARNING
The arm with the mounted light may fall from
the ceiling tube pin.
If the arm is attached without a stop disk, the
snap ring can be opened.
Make sure that the arm is attached together
with the stop disk.
WARNING
The arm may fall from the ceiling tube pin
together with the mounted light.
If the arm is attached without a tab washer, the
snap ring can be opened.
Make sure that the arm is attached together

WARNING
The spring arm and the mounted light may fall
from the arm.
If the spring arm is attached without a stop
disk, the snap ring can be opened.
Make sure that the spring arm is attached
together with the stop disk.
WARNING
Danger from the spring arm and adapted
terminal devices falling down
During installation, the diameter of the opened
circlip may be max. 1 mm larger than the
diameter of the shaft. A larger opening can
lead to material damage and loss of the safety
function.
Do not use any one circlip more than once.
After disassembly, dispose of the circlip and
attach a new one.
Make sure that the circlip locks correctly into
the respective groove during the assembly.
Otherwise there is a risk that the spring arm
and adapted terminal devices will fall down.
047
Secure the central axis with an installation lift
during installation or disassembly. 1 Secure arms with (A) straps.
1 Connect the marked plugs (B) of the central
axis and the arms accordingly.
2 Push the pin (C) of the central axis into the
ceiling tube. Use the material lift for this
purpose. The holes must be aligned with the
drill holes in the ceiling tube.
3 Tighten the central axis using eight M6
countersunk-head screws (D).
Torque 9+2 Nm
4 Remove the straps (A).
5 Establish the electrical connections (E),
see page 81.
Installing the spring arm at the arm 1 Remove the two screws and the cover (A) from
the arm.
WARNING
A Risk of electric shock
The arm must be disconnected from the
power supply.
B 2 Carefully remove the 3-pole plug (B) from the
arm.
D 3 Remove the protective element (C). Loosen the
brake disk for this purpose.
E 4 Remove the circlip (D) and the upper
compensating washer (E) from the spring arm.
5 Remove the protective element (F) from the
spring arm. The bottom compensating washer
(G) remains on the axis of the spring arm.
C
6 Insert the spring arm (H) into the arm from the
bottom. Secure with top compensating washer
(E) and circlip (D). The circlip must completely
lock into place at the groove of the spring arm
F with the sharp edge of the circlip always
pointing up.
NOTE
H G Only use the second compensating washer (E) if
there is a visible gap between the spring arm and
the arm.
NOTE
The spring arms are marked with red stickers at
the connection. Each sticker has a counterpart -
another red sticker - at the arm.
026
WARNING
Danger from the spring arm falling down
The spring arm may come loose when it is
turned due to the twisting of the circlip.
The compensating washer must be
positioned under the circlip.
WARNING
Danger from the spring arm and adapted
terminal devices falling down
During installation, the diameter of the opened
circlip may be max. 1 mm larger than the
diameter of the shaft. A larger opening can
lead to material damage and loss of the safety
function.
Do not use any one circlip more than once.
