versions of your write-ups that you submitted as your assignments at the appropriate places.

Background and Introduction 3 marks

Develop a quality, qualitative literature review of on a theoretically based phenomenon or practically

based problem. 3-4 Pages.

Research Problem 2 marks

Write a paragraph that clearly states what is the theoretical or practical problem that this research is
addressing. 1 Paragraph

Purpose, Objectives, & Questions 3 marks

Write a pager that clearly state the theoretical or practical research problem, research purpose,
objectives, and research questions. 1 Pager

Initial Framework 2 Marks

You may like to put-in place a conceptual/theoretical/ or practice framework, if you are using any pre-
empirical focal theory. If you research is leading to the development of entirely a new framework at the
end of analysis, then write a paragraph here how that will happen (e.g., if you are going for grounded
theory). 1 pager

Research Philosophy 3 Marks

Demonstrate, how you will implement atleast assumptions from the branches of philosophy such as
ontology, epistemology, rhetoric and others. 1 pager

Research Strategy 5 Marks

Demonstrate, how you will implement a qualitative or qual-quant mix strategy into your research in
terms of: 2 pages
a. Discuss that all features of a qualitative study are implemented in the study
b. The concept of the strategy
c. The rationale of choosing the strategy
d. Any typology and selection within it.
e. Operationalising the strategy – Context, Sampling, Units of Analysis and Units of Observation
Data Collection Method 3 Marks
Develop a detailed data collection protocol of your research covering the participant information sheet
and consent forms and interview questions/observation sheets/ or any other instrument of data. If you
are doing your search using documents and audio visuals, then write a para that describe the nature of
the data e.g., talkshows, and how you will collect these. Give 5-8 methodological references to interpret
and justify your selections. Discuss the sampling process, if it is
relevant. 2 Pages

Data Analysis Method 3 Marks

Develop a detailed data analysis process, preferability with the help of a computer aided platform such
as QSR NVIVO or Atlas ti. Provide 5-8 references that inform this section.

Research Quality & Ethics 2 Marks

Write two paragraphs about how you will ensure the research Quality and Ethics 1 Pager. Provide 4-5
references that inform this section.

Research Timeline and Budget. 2 Mark

Develop a project Gantt chart with KPIs on how you will implement the project say in coming 6-8
months. Don’t forget to give reference, from where you take the concept of gantt chart or any other
project management tool.
Develop a small budget in 4-5 headings of any financing required for actually conducting the project –
like travel for data collection, purchasing software, refreshments for the participants, data transcription
services, printings etc. If your supervisor agrees, you may submit this proposal to Oric for funding your
research for MS.
References and General Guidelines 2
Produce a list of 40-60 references through APA style. They may include both topic and methodology
related references.
1. Write a title page, abstract, and table content of the proposal as per the RnDD guideline. Write a
para on acknowledgements.
2. Submit the midterm examination to turnitin before Friday 5 April 2019 to turnitin.
3. Each paragraph must be between 120-200 words with at least 2 intext citations, mix of both direct
and indirect
4. Go for maximum of two levels of headings (Heading 1 and Heading 2).
5. Follow the R&DD format for line spacing, font size and style, and all other page setups.
6. The paragraphs must be coherent and overall document must make a good sense
7. Use either American or British English – not mix of both.
