Introduction

In the past, Philippine graduates at all levels had no problem securing

jobs. For instance, first school leaving certificate holders were engaged to teach in the

primary schools, at least as probation teachers while University graduates had a choice

to make between jobs depending on the uncertainties attached and the class of degree

one made. This was probably because of storage of work force or due the condition in

our economy. Nowadays, things have drastically changed. The teaming young

graduates even of tertiary institutions are without jobs. Such graduates are seen

combining the major streets in search of ‘white collar jobs that are not available or non-

existent. The fundamental question is, “what next” after searching in vain for an office

job? A serious thinking mind would easily find and answer in self employment. Creative

mind would always find something positive to contribute to the development of self and

the general economy. Small scale businesses owned by industrialists called sole

proprietors. It could be owned by a group of friends who form partnership for the

purpose of trading, staring their profits and losses in proportion of their subscribed

capital. People require food, clothing and shelter if they are to keep themselves alive.

People’s want are not completely satisfied. In a modern community, there are also

many services which they wish to have performed for them. Now we are given a task

by our teacher to conduct an interview to those small scale business of how they

operate and manage them. And the small scale business I interviewed is “GUILANG’S

TABLEYA” located at Canbanua, Argao, Cebu


Industrial Organizational History

During the course of history Guilang’s Tableya have changed the

manufacturing process dramatically. Instead of items being produced by hand, the

owners of the facilities created ways to have machines produce the items. This change

in production, now known as the Industrial Revolution.

Management Structure
Operation Analysis

Guilang’s Tableya always focus on the three main details that are included

in the operation of the business. These are:

The Location. It Could be a big factor to its progress from the distant

between consumers and suppliers. It could also help them to save their budget

for their small scale business.

Materials. It must be near at the suppliers so they could save money

from the distant expenses.

Manufacturing and Distribution. You wouldn’t know unless you see

for yourself how the operation goes. Manpower is needed in a manufacturing

industry. And if there is not enough of this or the method used in

manufacturing is not effective, progress is out of reach.

Forecasting

Guilang’s Tableya develop a comprehensive set of projected financial

statements. These projected financial statements, used Microsoft Excel or Word,

as a guide to help forecast future levels of balance sheet accounts as well as

profits and anticipated borrowing. Having this financial plan allows the owner to

track actual events against the financial plan and make adjustments as the year

passes. This is invaluable to the owner in order to keep the business out of
financial trouble in a changing economic environment. If the business firm needs

a bank loan or other financing, these financial statements are usually required.

Financing & Budgeting

Guilang’s Tableya strategic plan for business is always plan ahead and

control regarding its inflows and outflows of cash and its overall financial position. To

maintain the stability of the small scale business.

and other Bus Company’s to different location as their Mobile Advertisement of their

product.

Creating a small scale business is arduous task it takes time and effort for it to

succeed as long the one who created its business has patience and perseverance.
