Buat Pahala Free Gaya Rasulullah by Dr. Mohd Khairul Nizam is an excellent book that
promote reward and encourage people to acquire it especially now in era millennium that
everyone busy in chase of material things. Reward here is a thing that no one can see it or feel
it instead people are taught to believe in this reward. In addition, this book is actually a sequel
from the book Motivasi Gaya Rasulullah that trying to make the readers understand about
motivation based on Rasulullah while this book is trying to give motivation about how easy it
is to make free reward in a form that is easier to be practised by all Muslims regardless of
their status refers to Al-Quran and Sunnah.

The author, Dr. Mohd Khairul Nizam bin Zainan Nazri, is a consultant to the 2M Global
Training & Consultancy. Graduated with a Ph.D. from University of Malaya in Usuluddin
(Al-Quran and hadith). He has extensive experience in education and as an operator in
counselling sessions. Moreover, He also has handled more than 800 religious lectures on
various topics and more than 50 motivations programs involving students from schools level
to the university level. He mention in his book that his main objective in sharing knowledge
and experiences that he gained is in order to distributed to those interested in building
personal excellence, community and country into one.

As we are now living in millennium era, Dr. Mohd. Khairul Nizams’ book is compelling. His
style of writing is enjoyable as he use easy language that we use in our daily life and provides
many interesting examples. Besides, he also give us the way to generate reward using latest
technology.

This book consists of eight chapter: concept and understanding the meaning of Pahala Free,
basic concept of understanding a good deeds, Malays’ hadith in doing Pahala Free,
important note in generate reward, doing benevolence and seeking reward is universal,
concept generates reward based on Quran and Sunnah in modern age, adaptation measures to
generate Pahala Free and start generating Pahala Free through the latest medium.
The book begins with Dr. Khairul Nizam give us the meaning of Pahala Free. He also
provide some basic principle in understanding the concept of generating reward based on
Quran and Sunnah. There are five principles: the reward should be believed for sure, the
reward is something that is unseen, reward is Allahs’ absolute, the reward that are promised
and promoted should be based on Quran and an authentic hadith only and lastly reward is a
ticket to enter heaven (jannah).

In the next chapter, Dr. Khairul Nizam give us some Malays’ expression that have relation
with Pahala Free such as bahasa budaya bangsa, bapa borek anak rintik and so on. Next,
there is also many interesting example for universal stories that encourage people to
spreading good deeds. For example, stories about Mother Theresa, Greenpeace, Robin Hood
and Wright brothers.

In addition, the book also provide us the steps adaptation in generating Pahala Free and there
are some inspiration stories from it like a stories about knowledgeable scholar, story about
the Islamic motivator, story about rich people and story about celebrity.

The interesting part in this book is in the last chapter where the author give us the idea of
generating the reward using the latest technology such as Facebook, Twitter, Blog and
Camera. The author use the philosophy of where there is internet and laptop, there is always
ways to generate reward. As we are now in era technology where every people have their
own smart phone, laptop and other gadgets, this is like every people can do it. They can
easily generating the reward because nowadays people treat their gadgets like their life
depend on it, they keep their phone always with them even in their sleep.

However, there are some weaknesses in the book. There is a small printing error on the inside
where the word are overlapping cause it difficult to read. And there are also some page
repeated in another page. Nevertheless the book provides a very valuable content and
interesting examples to the readers. We pray that we can become the people who love doing
good deeds and generate reward.
