Course Description :

The curse focuses on the political dimension of national development. Topics for discussion are theories, concepts and models in political
development and their relevance to the political set-up; the role of the bureaucracy and their political institutions in the country’s development;
and the administration of political programs/projects

Program Outcomes :

Course Intended Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course, the student is expected to:


1. Know the meaning and term politics;
2. Gain a better appreciation of the political dimension of the development process and the political development goals; and
3. Examine critically the theories, models and concepts of political development and consider their relevance and application.
