O^W They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official

regulations), for regulation 5, the following r;gulation shall be substituted, namely :-

"5. Secretary and Employees of the Board-

(1) The nature and categories of the Secretary and employees of the Board <
and the scales of pay thereof siball be ta specified in schedule-I
(2) The Secretary shall be an officer of the level of Additional Secretary or
Joint Secretary to the Government of India.

3. In regulation 7 of the said regulations, for sub-regulation (IX the following sub-
regulation shall be substituted, namely:- *

(l) The appointment of the post of Stwetary shall be made by the Board."

In Schedule-I of the said regulations, against serial number 1, in column (4) for
the entnes, the following entries shall be substituted, namely

5. In Scheduie-11 of the said regulations, against serial number 1,-

(a) in column (4), for the existing entries, the following shall be substituted,
namely:-

"Rs. 22400-525-24500 or Rs. 18^00-500-22400."

(b) in column (11), for the existing entries, the following entries shall be
substituted, namely:-

"Deputation (including short term contract) failing which by absorption,"

(c) in column (12), for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted,
namely:-

"Deputation (including short term contract) failing which by absorption."

I. Officers of the Central or State Government holding-

(a) a post in the pay scale of Rs.22430-525-24500 or Rs. 18400-500-22400; and

(b) having experience in venture financing of technology based enterprises.

II. Manager/Executive-

(i) Holding a university degree with Chartered Accountant/Cost

Accountant/Company Secretary qualification; or Masters degree in Business
Administration/Finance; or
(ii) Holding analogous post in Financial Institution/Commercial Bank/Private or
Public Sector Company; and
(iii) Having five years experience in a responsible position in venture
capital/investment financing.

III. Scientist/Technologist holding-

(i) analogous post in Central Government/State Government/Autonomous

bodies/Industry;
Cii) Post-Graduate in Science or Graduate in Rngineering or technology related
subject.

Additional requirements:

(a) Five years experience in responsible position on technology

financing/technology commercialisation.
(b) A Scientist/technology developer/technology transfere/technology promoter
preferable
