before by discussing its definition, classification, and
functions or purposes.
Before the arrival of the Spaniards in our country, we
already have a rich collection of folk literature, which
includes all kinds of verbal folklore. Folk literature has three
classifications namely, folk narratives, folk speech and folk
songs.

Generally geographic in nature because it usually belongs
to a regional or local language. Level used in conversations
with classmates, teachers and visitors.
E. Assessment VS.
Slang- Used in specific social groups, like teenagers, or
members of a certain ethnic group. Expressions that are not
part of the standard language. Level used when speaking
with people close to us.
Similarities
Both are informal and spoken forms of language. They
provide a sense of identity to the users.

Group 1 and 3- Colloquial
Group 2 and 4 – Slang
The learners will create an act using the colloquial and slang
expressions found in the book page10.

They will be rated according to the rubrics in participation


and group activities
