Jennifer Pennington
HR Director - Noah Webster Schools
7301 E. Baseline Road
Mesa, AZ 85209
(480) 354-3490

Dear Jennifer Pennington,

Please accept my enthusiastic application for the position of the 2nd grade teacher at the Noah Webster
Scottsdale campus. I found this job through the Arizona Education Employment Board, while
searching for similar positions. After reviewing Noah Webster's values and qualifications of an
educator I feel I am confident that I have the experience you are looking for. As of right now I have
experience working with children and other adults, extensive leadership skills, and am working on
getting my I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Some highlights of my experience include working with children ages 3-7+ for four years and
customer service for two years. This has allowed me to showcase my upbeat personality, excellent
communication skills, and my ability to work in group-based settings. Being the former Kids Club
instructor at Michael’s craft store, I was able to teach kids of all ages creative skills and successfully
build interpersonal relationships with them. I am also in the process of getting my I IVP Fingerprint
Clearance Card and will have it by June of 2019. I have had the experience of working long hours
standing on my feet and have been able to keep up with the fast-paced classroom setting. All these
which would be perfect for the position at Noah Webster Elementary.

I also have extensive leadership skills as I was a part of various clubs in high school and served as the
secretary and vice president for one of them. This taught me to be comfortable with taking charge
when leading group meetings and performing tasks that require initiative and responsibility. These
prior involvements will allow me to thrive as a 2nd grade teacher.

With my strong service and academic background, I am well prepared to take the position of the 2nd
grade teacher at Noah Webster Elementary. My resume is up to date upon your request. I appreciate
your time in taking the effort to review my application, resume, and cover letter, and the overall
consideration of choosing me for this position. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach
out to me. I look forward to meeting with you to interview.

Sincerely,

Makalyn Calendo
