September to December – monitoring and implementation of pupil’s handbook by Division Office as well as activation of school Student Supreme Government (SSG) Don’t forget to attach anecdotal records and photos and observe proper recordings during the crafting and implementation of the pupil’s handbook. All of the policies to be included and stipulated in the pupil’s handbook must have legal basis and must be anchored to 2000 DECS Service Manual. It is very important also to consider DepEd Child Protection Policy. Create a SCHOOL DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE (SDC). School Prefect of Discipline is not really necessary, what is important is the SCHOOL DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE. The Chairman of the SDC should be the Principal or School Head. In crafting the pupil’s handbook, the chairman of the SDC may call other participants to collaborate in the making process like Barangay Captain, GPTA President, DSWD Officer, and other significant stakeholders. Upon implementation phase of the pupil’s handbook, everything should, shall, and will undergo due process. Exhaust all efforts and try all means for the parents to sign the pupil’s handbook. It is of necessity that ALL OF THE PARENTS SHOULD SIGN AND AGREE THE PUPIL’S HANDBOOK. The CONFORMITY AND AGREEMENT part of the handbook must be properly communicated and must be explained carefully to the parents. IF necessary, this part must be written or told in BISAYA. The explanation period of the contents of the pupil’s handbook may last up to 5 days or 1 week so that the parents can understand all of the policies included in the handbook (CALL FOR GPTA MEETING).
