Objectives:
 To pursue further tertiary education in a university in Australia
 To pursue my passion in the field of Resource Economics and attain the knowledge and skillset
to be able to earn a qualification in the field
 To be able to bring back the skills and expertise I have learnt to my home country Fiji to be able
to contribute to the growth and prosperity of this developing country.

Skills and Experience

Communication
 Ability to communicate well with fellow group members while being assigned with tasks and
group tasks
 Ability to communicate with subject teachers during formal and informal class discussions
such as answering questions and giving suggestions on the subject matter
 Ability to communicate with fellow team members during sporting activities like basketball
and cricket helping in team coordination and relationship with fellow team members

Planning and Coordination

 Planning is proficiently practised in almost every classroom activity.
 Simple tasks such as daily homework in different subjects are planned wisely so it can be
completed
 Revision during examination periods is also thoroughly planned in order to be fully ready for
the examination and to obtain maximum marks
 Project Assessments in the subjects English and Computer have also helped me become a
competent planner so they can be completed within the allocated due date and so they do
not interfere with other classroom activities
 During sporting activities there is a plan which is followed and certain roles are carried out in
order to succeed

Analysing, Summarizing and Reporting Statistical Data

 In English Projects allocated in Years 12 and 13 I was required to do case studies regarding
issues relating to culture and climate change.
 Questionnaires, interviews and observations were analysed and summarized to prepare
write-ups and compile the project.
  In our Economics classes we learnt how to summarize theories using graphs and how to
extract useful information from tables and create graphs.
 In Maths classes I have also acquired the skill to evaluate statistics in order to derive
important concepts.

Team Membership
 I have showcased the ability to work in a team both academically and in sports.
 In the classroom I work well with fellow group members in group tasks and contribute well
in group discussions
 In school I have been a part of various groups such as the school newsletter editing team
and the oratory team
 When it comes to sports I am a part of the school cricket and basketball teams respectively
where I have acquired the skills to listen and work cohesively with fellow teammates

Leadership
 I have showcased leadership skills in the classroom during group tasks such as English
presentations
 I have also shown leadership in the field of sports being the captain of my school cricket
team

Computer Skills
 As computer studies is one of the major subjects I undertake in, I am well apt with both basic
and advanced skills ranging from general office work such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
and Publisher to software designed for specialized work such as programming, software
designing and complex database management systems.
 I also have thorough knowledge about office roles, computer hardware etc.
 I am also the editor for the school newsletter team so I have experience in creating
newsletter pamphlets using Microsoft Publisher.

Language Skills
 English is one of my strengths as I am well versed with both written and spoken English. I
received an A grade in my Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination.
 I am also an orator and have won many oratory contests which has really helped me in my
spoken English
 I am also well versed in speaking my native language which is Hindi.
