How good are you at procurement?

A shoe factory needs to produce an order from its best and oldest customer. This customer is requiring 500 pairs of
black shoes, for women, with a delivery time of 45 days.
The maximum monthly production capacity of the factory is 400 pairs. To fulfill the order, it currently has supplies
for only 200 pairs.
For this reason, the procurements department immediately starts to search for the needed supplies from three
potential suppliers.
Supplier A, who normally delivers immediately, does not have black leather in stock right now. However, it will
probably be available within a maximum of thirty days.
Supplier B, is ready to deliver immediately, as long as the shoe factory is willing to buy material for about 600 pairs.
It should be added that the two previous suppliers quote their products at the same unit price.
The third supplier, Supplier C, is willing to deliver the quantity of material needed by the shoe factory, but the
material is of lower quality, and the price is the same as the one quoted by the other suppliers.
You are in charge of the procurements department at the shoe factory. The manager of the shoe factory needs you
to make an analysis with your recommendation about which supplier represents the best option for buying the
material.
