As an AVP at Sapna, one of my prime responsibility is to ensure maintaining a healthy CSAT score and a Formatted: Font: (Default) Calibri

 While gaining a lot of customer insights and understanding of their needs and proficiently
translate those needs into the right solutions in a rapidly digitized world. Identification of

meeting them by re-imagining the business processes which were executed via building the pipeline of
desired teams with cross functional abilities.

I can think critically, solve problems on the fly, and take a consultative approach to winning deals to
maximize revenue generation and consumer traction using partnerships and alliances. Being wired well
in the industry helped establish and maintain relationships with key strategic partners, industry
influencers & marquee brands. Thus ensuring that we are on top of the latest, state of the art processes
to keep the brand shining and further cement our position as leader of books, stationery, gifts & toys
categories.
So, basically all above this paragraph should be written in bullet points as I shown above

Business Head - ERP Software, Head of Imports & Corporate Sales (Jan ‘13 - Dec ’15)

 One of the most interesting experiences at Sapna was setting up the international procurement
channel via China. I made my maiden trip to China and visited the cities of Yiwu, Guangzhou,
Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Shantou. Right from product selection to ensuring it is safely shipped to India
on time, I ensured that this procurement channel not only gave us an additional 2000+ SKUs but also
helped us increase our profit margin by 25% and boosted repeat purchases by about 20%.

 In the years leading up to 2013, Sapna’s YoY revenue was growing 30%+ & the existing ERP software
was not scaling to meet the needs. To that, I donned the role of a Product Manager wherein I spoke
to 70+ key users of the current system to understand their pain-points, distilled all of these into a RFP,
evaluated multiple vendors and post zeroing in on the right partner, I worked with them to create a
milestone filled product development, user training and deployment plan. The process lasted 16
months and it was implemented across our organization with 400+ systems and impacted 1000 users
who underwent a collective 150+ hours of training.

Senior Manager – Ops, Inventory Mgmt. & Human Capital Mgmt. (Mar ‘09 - Dec ’12)

 One of the strategic aspects of running a retail operation at scale is optimal inventory management. I
closely monitored the basket size per customer and one issue which led to a lower basket size was the
sub-optimal stock fill rate of 70% and to that, I engaged deeply with the partners to ensure it’s at 85-
90%. This boosted YoY revenue by 18-20% in turn pushing up the ROI at store level. I ensured that we
struck a balance between the stock sale ratios and took effective measures to bring down the
inventory holding from 3x to 1.2x almost eliminating the hassle of having unsold goods.

 Running a chain of retail stores like a well-oiled machine needs extensive & well trained human capital
and to that, I invested in employee learning and development. Right from asking junior floor level staff
to dress and appear cordial to training them how to address customer queries, mid-senior managers
to the top management, I designed 36 hours’ of training modules per month which 600 employees
underwent. This resulted in a boost in employee satisfaction and a slightly reduced attrition rate ~8%.
It is believed that retail industry always has high attrition especially in specific operational & labor
heavy roles, it can be dramatically reduced with increased empathy ensuring a healthy ESAT score &
reduced churn.
 So, basically all above this paragraph should be written in bullet points as I
shown above. Bullet points should not more than 2 lines else divide into two
bullet points

Branch Head - Retail Operations (May ‘04 - Feb ’09)

I started off as Manager Sales & CRM at Sapna and in no time, I was made the Branch Head of
Sadashivnagar & then Indiranagar store. As a Branch head, I obtained a deep understanding of the retail
business and end customer’s needs.

 I was soon asked to lead the end to end operations of 3 flagship Sapna stores (Koramangala,
Indiranagar & Residency Road) which span across 80,000 sq.ft of retail space & employs 300+
employees. In this tenure, Sapna’s customer base grew by 21% & sales grew by 28%. This role
challenged me to my extremes: I created a 5 year road-map in which I scaled verticals like
procurement, visual merchandising & branding, accounting, working with local law-enforcement &
regulatory authorities and hiring.

 I infused a sense of ownership in each employee to offer the best service & satisfaction level to the
consumers, institutions & corporate.

 I owned the P&L of the stores and provided branch performance analysis at a regular cadence
