I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:

a. Identify the members of the stage production


b. Describe how each member of a stage production contributes to the performance
c. Assumes the role of a character as an actor/performer or production staff

Review
So what are the different theater and performing groups that we have in our country?

Motivation
Short video presentation.
(The teacher will play the video.)
Question:
1. What was shown in the video presented?
2. Did you ever wonder how the performance is created? Who do you think are the persons
behind the performance?

B. Lesson Proper:

ACTIVITY : Who am I?

Re-arrange the jumbled letters to form a word.


Note: Words are the production staff in a stage performance.

The person who takes the play from a mere concept to an actual finished presentation.

Overall artistic coordinator of the entire production.

Teacher will ask randomly the roles of production staffs in a stage performance.

1. How did you find the activity?
2. I noticed that you know at least some of them.
3. Who among you here already watch a stage play? Did you observe this production staff
behind the performance?

D.ABSTRACTION
1. As we mentioned a while ago, does a director play similar to an orchestra conductor? How?
2. Which member of the production shadows the director? How?
3. What is the importance of each role to the stage performance?
4. What will happen if one of the members does not function well? Would it lead to a poor
performance?

D. APPLICATION
1. Students will be divided into 2 groups. Each group will perform a role play assuming the
roles of each member of a stage production.
2. Kindly choose all your members in a role play for the production team.

Group 1. A scenario in a school.


Group 2. A scenario in a house.

3.Ask the learners to prepare their task for 10 minutes.

IV.EVALUATION

Presentation of Role Play.
