Role of HR managers:

When you find a job then you have final interview with HR manager and when you left
any organization then you have last interview with HR manager. When you working in an
organization then you daily interact with human resource department. Now a days human
resource manager become the most important part of organization. Without human
resource management department no one think about the proper functioning of the
organization.
Controlling and manage the employees in the organization is a major challenge and only
those people deal this challenge properly those have train in this area. Few years ago
people are not know the concept of human resource manager in the organization and
giving the post of administrative to the human resource manager and not involved him in
the job activities and the department actually entailed. They done only those activities
that administrative supposed to do and he has only the title of HR manager but perform
the functions of administrative.
But from last few years people recognize the importance of HR manager and in the
organization and trend is change about the human resource manager. At the same time
universities and educational institutions modified their curriculum and give the proper
training and education those people who want to study the human resource management.
This change can be seen in the highly developed organization in the human resource
management department.

Key responsibilities of HR Managers:

HR Manager have many responsibilities to make sure that company’s functions run
effectively and smoothly. If the HR Manager is fail to fulfill his responsibilities then the
whole system of the organization effect badly. In this way organization has also some key
responsibilities which are following:
Employee Recruitment:
HR Manager has the most important responsibility is the recruitment of the employees.
Take interview of the candidates and make sure that during hiring that he is profitable for
the company is the duty of the HR Manager. Company manager depend on the HR
manager for the negotiating of salary and other job related clauses.

Employee Relations:
To deal and handle the everyday problems of the employees and the issues that arises
within the organization is the major duty of the HR Manager. The most important task of
the HR Manager is that he makes sure that employees are happy and consistent with their
jobs and their level of motivation is not decrease.
Training and Development:

One part of the HR Manager Job is that he constantly trains the employees and develops
their skills and capabilities. They have to arrange seminars and workshops so that
employee’s skills are developed and they perform their duties in a better way.
Maintaining Conduct:
Maintaining the discipline of the office is important for the success of the organization
and HR Manager is responsible for this. HR Manager deal with those employees who are
daily late, take too much holidays, delay their work, spend so much time in socializing
with other employees and not perform their duties properly.
Making New Policies:
It is the duty of HR Management department that it is constantly reviewing the policies of
the company and makes changes in it and makes new strategies and policies to meet the
growing demands of the company. These policies help in running the functioning of the
company smoothly and make sure that the interest of both the employees and company is
protected.
Implementing New and Old Policies:
It is also include in the duty of the HR Management department that all old and new
policies are implemented properly and all employees follow the rules of these policies
and work under these policies.
Appraisals and Rewards:
Rewarding and deciding the appraisals of the employees is the major and difficult task of
the HR management department. To keep the employees motivated and satisfied with
their job it is essential that proper rewards are giving to the employees according to their
hard work and efforts. HR Manager also makes certain that the appraisals that are given
to the employees are fair and according to the inputs and outputs of the employees. If the
managers are unfair and biased in giving the appraisals then employees become
dissatisfied and quality of work decrease dramatically.
Conducting Exit Interview:
When any employee leaves an organization then it is the duty of the HR Manager that he
takes the leaving interview and also knows about the problems that employee face in the
organization during the working. A common exit interview includes the following
questions.
 Why are you leaving our organization?
 How was your experience working in our organization?
 What are the problems that you face during working in our organization?
 What suggestions you give to make our organization better?
 What does a new job offer that our organization did not offer?

These questions helpful for the HR Manager to examine the performance of the
organization in the eyes of the employees and where is the needs of the improvements is
and make necessary improvements.
