Dear Ms. Gray,

Congratulations! Navy Recruiting Command takes pleasure in notifying you of your selection for
enlistment in the Nurse Candidate Program (NCP).

Your enlistment documents will be prepared at the local Navy Recruiting District and they will
contact you as soon as you become eligible to enlist. Based upon your expected graduation date from
Nursing School and the 24 month maximum you are able to participate in NCP, you will be eligible to
enlist and begin receiving benefits no earlier than 1 December 2017. To ensure your quota in the
program, you must enlist by 31 December 17. Recruiting District personnel will contact you to arrange a
suitable time, for your formal acceptance of this program. Upon your enlistment, your service record and
all other required documentation will be maintained by:

It is your responsibility to notify the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Accessions
Department of any changes in your physical health, academic status or any other situation that may
prevent you from completing your degree as scheduled and being commissioned in the U.S. Navy. Upon
completion of your degree and commissioning as an officer in the Navy Nurse Corps, you will attend
Officer Development (ODS) School. This five-week course of instruction provides you with the
necessary tools to understand your role as a Naval Officer. Information about the NCP program and
