“Very good, now, how can we solve this Asked: The difference of Lhea’s body temperature
problem? Using the Polya’s method, we need to from yesterday and today
understand what is asked and the given facts. So Given: 37°C- today’s temperature
what is asked and the given facts? 38.9°C- yesterday’s temperature

Next proceed to our plan, so to find the solution Plan: Get the difference of Lhea’s body
what is the best thing to do to solve the problem? temperature by subtracting yesterday’s
What operation to be used? temperature to today’s temperature

Then solve. 38.9°C-37°C= N 1.9°C

What is the answer?

Very good. Now we need to check. From today’s 38.9°C

temperature we need to add 1.9°C and we need
to find the temperature of yesterday.
37°C+1.9=38.9°C

Did we get the same temperature of yesterday’s? Yes

The class will form into 4 groups and will be given

3 minutes to answer the given cards

Organize pupils into four groups. The

leader will interview their groupmates on what
food in the canteen they liked the most. Then the
group needs to write their answers by making a list/
table.

IV. Evaluation

1-5. Direction: Make a table using the following problem

The Sky Ranch management accounted the number of people who arrived during its first
week of operation. One thousand two hundred tourists came on its opening day. On its second day
of operation, 900 visitors arrived. There were 650 people came on the third day, 1300 on the fourth
day and 800 on the fifth day.
