Judul : “Management techniques radiographic in case lumbosacral of the lumbar HNP

with DR modality in the installation of radiology hospitals muhammadiyah
Palembang 2018”

ABSTRACT

Hernia nucleus pulposus (HNP) is when the nucleus pulposus out stand for then pressed toward
the spinal canal through the torn annulus fibrosis. HNP is a pain caused by pathologic process in
columna vertebral in the intevertebral disc. The author takes the case of the lumbar HNP as the
title of the thesis .Difficulties encountered in the management of lumbosacral radiography
techniques in patients suspected lumbar HNP is this examination requires precision in dealing
with uncooperative patients due to pain. This study aims to determine the procedures and
projections used in the lumbosacral radiographs in patients with lumbar HNP suspects in the
muhammadiyah hospital Palembang conducted from march to april 2018. This research is
descriptive and data collection is done by observation, literature study and interviews. The
research sample was conducted at 1 (one) and conducted questionnaires to 5 (five) of
respondents using subjective methods. The examination begins with a photo shoot in the AP
projection using 85 kV and 14.0 mAs, then the lateral projection by using 90 kV and 14 mAs.
The result showed that the results of treatment of lumbosacral radiography techniques in the case
of the overall lumbar HNP conducted in Tn.S is pretty good.
