Grammar: The Present Continuous Prezentul continuu exprima o actiune care se int&mpla now (acum), at this moment (in acest moment), at this very moment (chiar in acest moment), at present (in prezent). Acest imp verbal Se formeaza cu ajutorul prezentulul verbului TO BE si verbul de conjugat cu terminalia ING. ‘ox: My cousin IS skatING on the frozen lake now. 360 LIMBA ENGLEZA The two friends ARE playING golf at the moment. 1AM workING on a project right now. Nota bene: 4. Terminafia ING nu modifica Y final (playing, trying, crying). 2. La verbele care se termind in E, acesta este indepartat si se adauga ING (make - making, take - taking, demonstrate - demonstrating). Excepti: to be — being, to see ~ seeing 3. La verbele care se termina tn consoand, aceasta se dubleaza daca este precedata de o vocal accentuaté (stop ~ stopping, admit — admitting, run — running, get — getting). 4. Verbele care se termina in IE transforma aceasta pereche de vocale in Y si apoi se adaugas ‘erminatia ING (to lie - ying, to tie - tying, to die - dying). Interogativul se formeaza prin simpia inversiune a subiectului cu auxiiarul TO BE, €ex.: She IS making the coffee. IS she making the coffee? Negativul se formeaza cu ajutorul verbului TO BE la negativ si verbul de conjugat cu terminatia ING. ex.: You ARE leaming this lesson now. © You ARE NOT leaming this lesson now.
