Theories & Practices of Visual Art in Traditional Setting (PSV705)

Assignment Title: Knowing and Understanding your Issues & Ideas Well
Assignment Duration: Two Weeks (5th April - 19th April 2019)
 

Context of the Assignment:


Since the last couple of weeks, students were brought into understanding of
various learning theories. Started with behaviorist theory, students was then
introduced to cognitive and constructivist learning theories. Numerous
education scholar have identifies those theories as the core in understand
how individuals perceived their learning process. Noted as the core and root
of educationalist theory, many educationalist also believe that by critically
understand those theories will ensure better connections with other related
theories can be conducted.

Conversely, each of these theories does have its focus area, strengths, and
limitations that need to be addressed appropriately. Thus, as a novice
researcher in education field, student is expected to be able to define and
outline those issues in clear manner.

Assignment Description:  
Considering above-mentioned Selection of issue in VAE subject area
statements, student (individually)
is required to conduct a Finding support (citations) from
comprehensive study of each to published academic writing based on
those mentioned learning the issue
theories. Student’s writing should

Assignment Expectation:
In meeting the assignment objectives, student is expected to carry out a
critical writing activities based on related academic publications. Through
reviewing previous scholars ideas and writing, this assignment is expected
student to be able to connect his/her understanding from classroom
discussion and their own understanding. Further, student is hoped to be able
to construct his or her own understanding and knowledge through this
systematic procedure.
Outcome from the Assignment:
Student (individually) is expected to carry out an academic critical writing on
related learning theories that have been presented and discussed previously.
The writing should be structured appropriately considering well-written
academic writing format. Student is advice to support his/her understanding
and statement through presentations of diagram, visual, graphic, etc.
Examples and elaboration based upon student’s prior experience and
informal observation can also be included to strengthening his/her idea.

Evaluation of the Assignment:


In completing this assignment, each student will be assess base on:
Critical idea and justification of each learning theories – 30%
Student is expected to review each of the learning theories from
relevant published academic writing. Clear justification and rationale
need to be stated.
Presentation of the idea gathered – 10%
Student is required to present those ideas in academic writing format
(APA format). Plagiarism will not be tolerate.
Support from relevant sources – 10%
Student writing should be supported with relevant visual, diagram, etc.
