1. Purpose
This document outlines BRA Technicians Competencies Tasks level 1 to level 5 and its serves as Competency
roadmaps of each individual in their own trade. The tasks also serve as a minimum required competency for each
individual to complete in a stipulated time

2. Scope
Tasks are customized by equipment on board of each specific location and segregated into 5 levels.

Level 1 Introduction – Familiarization


Basic knowledge that every technician needs (e.g. knowledge of oil and gas production fundamentals, basic safety fundamentals,
etc.).

Level 2 Awareness
Basic knowledge of work procedures that each technician needs (e.g. knowledge of PTW, knowledge of specific site hazards).

Level 3 Fundamentals
The fundamentals knowledge that each person in a particular craft/ function needs (e.g. a transmitter, to enable them to calibrate
it as required, Mechanic - pump alignment)

Level 4 Skill
Technicians that has reached the acquired skill and knowledge. Able to produce site-specific procedures and other work
requirements (Risk Assessment, MOC, knowledge of regulations, etc.).

Level 5 Mastery
Competencies include more advanced abilities such as troubleshooting/ optimization
