The Mental Health Seminar, organized in conjunction
with IU School of Dentistry, was a time for reflection. It helped
all of us learn more about better ways to communicate with
each other and with those who may be struggling with the stress
of everyday life. Aspire Indiana led us through the seminar.

Members registered for the Foundation’s Golf Tourney
by May 31 will be entered twice to win the $1,000 Prize given
by First Merchants Bank. Dr. Doug Spaulding, and his wife,
Diane, work very hard to make this event successful, and we
couldn’t do it without them!!
We say goodbye to our 4th Year Class President, and IDDS
Board member, Josiah Smith. We wish him and his family
well upon graduation, and thank him for his involvement with
IDDS.
And, we say a grateful thank you to Dean John Williams,
who is retiring as Dean of IU School of Dentistry, and as IDDS
Board member. John and Lucy are headed to the rigors of
boating down the US coastline, and we send our best as they
steer into their new adventure in life after retirement as Dean.
Dr. Williams will be on sabbatical for a year, and then plans
to return to IUSD. We wish him and Lucy the very best, and
thank both of them for their involvement and support of IDDS,
its members, staff, and projects during his tenure as Dean.
John and Lucy: Here’s to Calm Seas Ahead in all of your
adventures!
