The foxes and the river

A number of thirsty foxes___1___ of a river for a drink. But the current (течение) was so strong and the

One of the foxes, wishing to shame(пристыдить) ___3___ how brave he was said,”I’m not a bit
frightened. Look at me step into the water”.

The other foxes cried ,”Don’t go away! Come show us where we can drink safely”

The foolish fox replied, “I’m sorry, but I can’t yet. I’ve ____5___, and this current wii take me there
