and theoretical context), Cultural context -how is the project situated in the context of the culture we
live in; Natural context-region-site-surrounds-climate etc; Technical issues important to your design.
Establish link to annotated bibliography and discuss citations.

3. OBJECTIVES or RESEARCH QUESTION 100 Words
An objective is an intent of what the researcher/student wants to do stated in clear measurable terms.
This could be framed in the form of a question also.
• Purpose, issues and concepts central to your design are captured in an objective
4. METHODOLOGY 200-300 Words
How are you going to conduct your research? This section will contain a study design mentioning
how you plan to collect data relevant to your case studies through site visits, relevant questionnaires.
Research may be by drawings and diagrams (means other than the written word), use of sketchbook.
• Must include name and place where the research work is to be conducted.
• Define duration of your thesis mentioning main activities along with key milestones and dates.

Case Studies through Secondary sources: books, journals and internet sources
6. OUTCOME, SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS 650-700 Words
This section outlines programmatic needs and demands focusing on design outcomes
• What is your design outcome, elaborate on the program and scope of your design (what it
includes) and State limitations that you will be bound by (what it excludes)
