• Should reflect the objectives of the study and be a true representative of the study.
2. INTRODUCTION 150-200 Words
Why is your topic relevant; who are the main stakeholders in your thesis subject.
OPTIONAL: If focus is on material research or modular design, establish rationale in the Introduction and elaborate in the
Methodology and Outcome section

Should contain brief background of the selected topic.(issues central to your design thesis, historical
and theoretical context), Cultural context -how is the project situated in the context of the culture we
live in; Natural context-region-site-surrounds-climate etc; Technical issues important to your design.
Establish link to annotated bibliography and discuss citations.
• Identify the importance of your design subject, relevance and applicability
• Clearly state the cultural and natural context of your design

Research may be by drawings and diagrams (means other than the written word), use of sketchbook.
• Must include name and place where the research work is to be conducted.
• Define duration of your thesis mentioning main activities along with key milestones and dates.
