LEAVE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR STAFF

INTRODUCTION
The introduction of new leave rules (arising from the RSL, PRP and other programs) has made the present leave management
system rather complicated and difficult to manage. It has therefore been decided to replace it with a more flexible and adaptable
system. Henceforth, days of leave will be credited monthly instead of annually. Members of the personnel will have round-the-clock
direct access to more detailed, confidential information regarding their various kinds of leave. They will also receive a personal
monthly statement with their pay slips. The new system does not require any amendment of the regulations, except with respect to
the frequency of leave calculations (monthly instead of annual).

Problem definition
People are constantly in the fight to save their time the leave management system is a single leave management that keeps leave
records of all the staff. The system will provide a connection between the user and database hence enabling quick retrieval of the
information without any intervention from the human resource manager. In the system staff can apply for leave online and they can
see balance leave.

The main objective of the system which shows and helps you to collect the most information about leave details of staff. In the busy
world leaves are the day which allow people to utilize their time at home but leaves are also the day.

I. Main characteristics of the new leave system

1. The main feature of the new system is the creation of accounts to which leave will be credited or debited as appropriate.
Depending on their circumstances, members of the personnel may have up to four individual leave accounts :
- Annual leave
- Saved leave
- Compensation (overtime, seniority leave, etc.)

2. All accounts will be credited by the appropriate amount every month, and the balance of each account will be shown in the
monthly pay slips, which will comprise a separate section entitled 'record of leave'.

3. Members of the personnel will be able to consult the state of each of their accounts on EDH at any time, as well as their personal
details regarding other kinds of leave.

II. A summary of the main changes with respect to the current system

1. Monthly statements showing credits and balances for each leave account will replace annual leave statements.

2. These monthly statements will be drawn up and sent out with pay slips.

3. Members of the personnel will be able to consult detailed statements of all their different kinds of leave on EDH at any time.

4. The new system may lead to instances where the balance of one or more leave accounts is negative at a given moment .

5.However, members of the personnel are invited to note that the new system will entail no modification to their annual leave
entitlement as defined in the present system.

6. Certain technical or accounting changes will be made to facilitate the management of the new system and consultation of the data
recorded in it.

Current System

In the Current leave Management System, every college/Department follows manual procedure in which faculty enters information
in a record book. At the end of month/session, Administration Department calculate leaves of every member which is a time taking
process and there are chances of losing data are errors in records. This module is a single leave management system that is a critical
for HR tasks and keeps the record of vital information regarding working hours and leaves. It intelligently adapts to HR policy of the
management and allows staff and their line manage their leaves and replacement.

Advantages Over Current System

In this module, Head of Department (HOD) will have permission to look after data of every faculty member of their department.
HOD can approve leave through this application and can view leave information of every individual. This application can be used in
a college to reduce processing work load. This project main idea is to develop an online centralized application connected to
database which will maintain faculty leaves, notice information and their replacements.

Goals and Objectives

Leave management System is very convenient to implement, easy to understand and also easy to implement. The need of designing
such Software is to provide HR Administration a better way for Scheduling balancing work load by maintaining leave details of staff.

To decrease the paperwork and enable the process with efficient, reliable record maintenance by using centralized database, thereby
reducing chances of data loss.
